If such a design was to be included it would be likely to become a future liability, and a bone of contention for the local residents, and very likely increasing the use of Hepworth lane which the junctions are very unsuitable at both ends of the lane, and the lane promotes Restricted, and inadequate pedestrian facilities.
Past evidence of bollards- lockable gates do fall into disrepute, keys do tend to go missing, and then the emergency link remains open creating a “Rat run” particularly if this suits the new residents to access the proposed development.
