The resilence of trees on the banks of the River Calder Mirfield is astonishing.

Soil washed away with heavy constant flooding exposing tree roots, trees almost perched out of the river banks on their roots more than 2 feet of roots uncovered the roots are still active, healthy and absorbing water with no signs of decay

I find the images in this blog beautiful and incredible the shapes pattern natural art nature at her best. Incredible the roots are slowing down the inevitable erosion of the riverbank we should be planting more trees with deep roots for example White Oak, Walnut, Silver maple tree, and many more. Without trees, the river would re-shape expand become wider and in some cases create more problems.
