Shaping the Future of Mirfield how to place your objections against development

Hello and welcome to Project Mirfield to help the fight to keep our fields green.  We are in the process of formatting objection template letters to help you put together a strong letter of objection against developments in our town.  As developers apply for planning we will add the information for the named site ie reference number with a link and email address to Kirklees planning which this will enable you to find all the information you require to form your case and send off your objection.

Example of objection:-  The roads around Mirfield are already congested with the amount of traffic, in particular the junction of  Old Bank Road and Greenside which has become a black-spot. Traffic turning right from Greenside onto Old Bank Road has to negotiate a busy road with people wishing either to go down into the centre of Mirfield or going to the Co-op which is on the left.  The same applies to cars turning left or right onto Greenside, this is one of only three ways to exit Mirfield to go Leeds or Huddersfield. Any further housing/industrial development will only make these roads virtually gridlocked for large parts of the day

I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU STILL SEND IN YOUR OBJECTION TO:- ‘planning.contactcentre@kirklees.gov.uk’  REF: Application No. 2014/60/90688/E  Land at Slipper Lane
